Last month we participated in Impact Day, an annual day of volunteering and charitable action run by Warner Bros Discovery.

We've been a part of this worthy initiative for several years at TT Games. Last year we made cat and dog toys, wrote cards to people at local care homes, and sent a play boxes full of LEGO bricks to several of the schools in our local town, Knutsford (in the UK!).

We decided to support two initiatives this year. The first is "Every Month Campaign", a local charity tackling period poverty across Greater Manchester. They collect donations of menstrual products, and give them to food banks or other services that help those who might struggle to afford this basic necessity. We had a box for donations, which we filled and shipped out to contribute towards the 1000 or so packs that the charity distributes each month.

Our other main contribution was to sort through and give away lots more of the LEGO bricks we have (or should we say "had"!). As you might imagine, we've built up a huge amount of our favourite construction toy here at TT Games HQ; the result of years and years of building and displaying sets we've collected for research (or just for fun!). Whilst many of these sets continue to decorate our offices, other sets have, over the years, been dismantled back into their individual pieces. A small group of us spent a few hours sorting through it, until we had two big boxes of good quality LEGO bricks.

The LEGO bricks were donated later that same day to our local library. They host a monthly after-school LEGO club, and they were delighted to accept the donation. There was so much that they suggested they may even share some of the LEGO bricks with other libraries in the area, which we were happy to support!
