Develop Brighton and BAFTA YGD

We've had the privilege of attending the BAFTA YGD and Develop Conference recently as we got to talk to many people about the games industry and creating LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Starting off with BAFTA Young Games Designers awards, Dee Kariyawasam from our VFX department was on hand to take part in a panel regarding his journey in the games industry. He talked about how he got into the industry, his role at TT Games and his love for video games!
Dee also was around to answer questions from students looking to work in games providing insight and advice to them for the future.
We then attended Develop Conference in Brighton. Our team of Jonathan Smith, Mark Green, Ruthie Nielsen, Dave Woodman and Rian Walters hosted the talk - Building a Hit: LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
At this talk they discussed many aspects of the game from pre production and planning, the art style, combat, and the challenges along the way such as the "Bat-Bib".
We also had a surprise appearance from LEGO Batman himself - Shai Matheson
Shai had a few words to say about his time working on the game including his favourite line.
