Nintendo Compliance specialist

Senior Tools Programmer
We are seeking talented programmers with a passion for games to join our Game Systems Team. The team is responsible for developing our in house programming API for Physics, Characters, AI, Networking and associated Tools. The successful applicant will join the Game Systems Team and take a lead role in developing our in house Editor, APIs and Tools across a wide range of platforms for our upcoming LEGO titles.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least one A grade at A Level in Maths, Physics or Computer Science and a 1st or Upper 2nd degree in Computer Software related degree course.
- Fluent in C++ and object oriented programming (experience with wxWidgets and other languages is an advantage).
- Strong maths skills.
- Strong debugging skills.
- Be a methodical programmer with the ability to focus on tasks to completion and get things done.
- Be able to work in a large code base, understand code, learn quickly and produce bug free reliable code.

Lego Systems: Programmer
We are seeking an experienced console / PC gameplay programmer to join our LEGO Systems team, which provides mechanics and game systems to support teams working on our upcoming LEGO titles. The successful applicant will be working with the company's cross-platform codebase on PS3, 360, Wii and PC.
Based in the North West, the studio regularly features in the top 10 of the Develop 100 "World's Most Successful Games Studios" (2007, 2008) and consistently produces AAA titles across all formats. The long company history of 20 years coupled with its consistent financial success make this company a safe and stable prospect.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience with gameplay and mechanics programming on a range of PC/console titles.
• Experience of creating clean configurable APIs to be used by other programmers.

• A good degree or post-graduate qualification in Computer Science or related subject (ideally 2.1 or above).

Language Testers - Portuguese (Brazil), Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish

We are currently looking to hire some language testers for our QA office in Maidenhead for Portuguese (Brazil), Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish.
The role consists of translating our projects into the desired language (either through Excel or through our own in-house software), and then testing the games to ensure that the localisation has been sufficiently implemented to a very high standard.
Experience/Skills needed:
- NATIVE speaker of one of the above languages
- FLUENT speaker of English
- Good spelling/grammar in both of the above languages
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with translating would also be beneficial
The role does involve a lot of hands-on testing of games so knowledge of the latest consoles is also beneficial. You would also be expected to report on any functional issues you come across.

Senior Engine Programmer
We are seeking an experienced console / PC programmer who really knows how to wring the last drops of performance out of a machine. The successful applicant will be working in the Render Tech Team and be instrumental in pushing the development of the next-gen rendering components of the the company's cross-platform engine on PS3, 360 and PC.
Based in the North West, the studio regularly features in the top 10 of the Develop 100 "World's Most Successful Games Studios" (2007,2008) and consistently produces AAA titles across all formats. The ideal candidate will have:
o Experience programming consoles at a low-level on PS3, 360, Wii or PC.
o A good degree or post-graduate qualification in Computer Science or related subject (2.i or above).

o Strong 3D maths skills and an in-depth understanding of next-gen rendering techniques.
o Fluent in Direct X or a console API, and preferably HLSL, GLSL or CG shader programming.

Storyboard Artists
We are seeking an experienced storyboard artist with TV and/or Film experience. A sound understanding of staging, and camera principles along with good illustration skills are essential. The in-house position will be based with our cut-scene department creating cinematic sequences for our next LEGO game.

I.T. Support Engineer
The I.T. Support Engineer will be responsible for general first line support tasks; assembling and maintaining PC's; ensuring that server backups are correctly completed; creating and maintaining documentation for both the systems support team and end users; creation/monitoring of scripts to aid in Online testing.
Key tasks:
- First line support (logging calls, troubleshooting / diagnosis, and resolution or escalation).
- PC assembly/imaging/maintenance (including applications, correcting faults, updating drivers etc). This will also include the regular setting up of specific PC Specifications to assist the PC Test Team.
- Transferring licenses between machines as projects change and people move between tasks, ensuring that license documents are kept up to date.
- Portable Appliance Testing (electrical safety testing), after appropriate training.
- General network support and basic troubleshooting (e.g. patching, replacing switches, etc).
- Creation and maintenance of domain and server login accounts, email accounts, web proxy authorisation, mail distribution lists, etc.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for systems (e.g. IP address register, equipment register, setup / standards docs, etc), and for consumers of IT support services (e.g. FAQ's, how-to's, etc).
- Auditing of systems for suitability for task, license monitoring, etc.
- Working closely with the online test team to ensure all I.T. needs are met, which will include the setting up of specific network environments to emulate different real-world conditions.
Knowledge and experience of the following would be beneficial:
- Linux servers.
- Disk imaging (creation and use of).
- LDAP.
- Understanding of DNS / DHCP / CIFS / SAMBA.

Technical/Mo-Cap Animators
Traveller’s Tales is currently looking for talented animators with a strong technical skill, and knowledge of Maya and Motion Builder. The job will involve working with motion capture for cinematic sequences in a high profile movie tie-in, as well as some hand animation.

Environment Artists
We are looking for artists to work on all next generation consoles, across a wide range of exciting high profile projects. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of advanced shaders, and a high level of creative and artist ability.
