Junior VFX Artist - TT Fusion

We are looking to recruit a Junior VFX Artist on a fixed term contract until April 2018.  This position will be based at our studio in Wilmslow.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating visual effects for the game (levels and cutscenes) compliant with game design and vision.
  • Creation of effects using packages provided (Maya and Photoshop).
  • Creation of particles using 2D textures (Photoshop) and in-house editors (particle/LED).
  • Using Maya Fluid systems to create animating textures when required.
  • Creation of bespoke and generic scenery effects (smoke/fire etc).
  • Creation of bespoke character effects (shields/suits/hits/footsteps etc).
  • Placement of static effects in levels.
  • Creation of game specific VFX (explosions) placement generally by code.
  • Creation (sometimes placement) of cutscene specific VFX (explosions etc) placement generally by animation.
  • Working closely with environment artists on effects heavy levels to balance frame-rate.
  • Liaise with Construction Artists with regards to placing and triggering gameplay-specific VFX.

  • Understanding that changes and amendments are part of the pipeline.
  • Attend regular reviews of work (and present all concept and ref if used).

Character Artist - TT Fusion

We are seeking to recruit a Character Artist to join our LEGO Integration team in Wilmslow.

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify and enter relevant issues into JIRA, ensuring sufficient information is given.
  • The design and creation of LEGO characters as required / specified by the Lead Character Artist
  • The design and creation of LEGO creatures where the main elements are unique moulded elements rather than a LEGO model constructed from standard elements

In-Game Animator - 6 Month FTC - TT Fusion

TT Fusion (a division of Traveller’s Tales) are looking for experienced Character Animators to join our in-game animation team on a 6 month fixed term contract based at our Wilmslow studio. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a highly talented and creative team generating animation content for our upcoming console title.

We are looking for self-motivated applicants, who are responsive to direction and working to a brief. The ability to plan and schedule your time, and the confidence to deliver high quality animation to a deadline is essential.

Ideal candidate for the role would have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Animation or related Film-making.
  • An in-depth knowledge of animating in Maya.

Assistant Community Manager - Tt Games

Head of QA - Tt Games

As the Head of QA, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational level of the QA Department. The role requires flexibility, understanding of competing priorities, the ability to multitask and a high level of personal organisation.

You will be responsible for defining the QA strategy and approach for the company’s projects based in Knutsford & Wilmslow and be ultimately responsible for ensuring product quality.

The Head of QA will have ownership of QA environments at Knutsford & Wilmslow, working closely with the Development team to define the optimal solution for each project and will also take responsibility for ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking.

You must have a proven track record of building QA teams and managing the function and direction of the QA teams. The manager will provide regular direction, mentoring, and coaching to QA team members, ensuring the success of the team’s efforts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for strategic and operational planning.

  • Responsible for leading and directing the QA leadership team.

Fixed Term QA Testers - TT Fusion

TT Fusion, a division of Traveller’s Tales, are looking for QA Testers to join the QA team based at our Wilmslow studio. These are Fixed Term Contract roles with immediate starts, running until the 29th December 2017.

The ideal candidates should have:

Shift work (including weekends) and overtime will be required.  The shift pattern is 2 weeks on the early shift, 07:00-15:30, and then 2 weeks on the late shift, 14:30-23:00 and 1 week on the night shift, 22:45-07:15.

UI Artist - Playdemic

Playdemic are looking to recruit an experienced UI Artist into the Art team based in Wilmslow.

As the primary UI/UX Artist on the team, you will be expected to work alongside Designers, other Artists, Programmers and Producer on a day-to-day basis, providing high quality assets that achieve the production and quality goals set for the project. You will also work closely with the Creative Director in setting the style and quality standard for all front-end elements of the game.

You will need to take a thoughtful approach to solving complex User Interface problems, often prototyping multiple ideas that you will evolve and iterate in search of the optimal solution.

You will be expected to estimate timescales for your tasks in advance and deliver milestones as part of the development process. Acting in a senior position on the art team, you will work alongside the Producer to plan out work schedules for the other artists. You should be able to show creative leadership to the art team, inspiring them to work to their potential and take pride in what they produce.

Creative Services Artist - Playdemic

As a mixed-skill digital artist you will be providing concepts and designing new ad creatives for our games to be placed across all our user acquisition media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Video networks. Ad placements include highly illustrative static images, carousel sequences and video end cards.  You will also be required to reformat current creatives.

Reporting to the User Acquisition Director, you will be part of a dedicated and dynamic team developing high quality mobile social games targeted at the top of the grossing and download charts.

You must have a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent illustration and design skills and creative flair. The role will require originality and imagination whilst recognising the agreed art style of the relevant games.

IT Engineer - Traveller's Tales

We are seeking to recruit an IT Engineer into our growing IT team and this position will be based at our studio in Knutsford.

As an IT Engineer working for TT Games the purpose of this role will be to ensure that IT services are delivered and users supported in their use of these services. You will be part of a team supporting infrastructure that delivers core services to developers and administrative staff. You will be responsible for first and second line support tasks including: request handling from receipt through resolution or handover to senior colleague; commissioning and maintenance of assets (hardware and software); auditing; project management; and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to staff throughout the business (troubleshooting / diagnosis, and resolution or escalation).
  • Recording details of support requests and ensuring that procedures and other documentation are accurate and updated to reflect changes.
  • Operating System image creation, maintenance, and deployment.
  • Workstation and server maintenance (deployment of applications, correcting faults, updating drivers/firmware, etc).
  • Setup, update, and fault diagnosis of console platforms (e.g. Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch) and mobile devices (Android and iOS).
  • Transferring licenses between machines as projects change and people move between tasks, ensuring that license documents are kept up to date.
  • Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment (e.g. patching, configuring/installing switches, etc).

Environment Artists - Traveller's Tales

The main responsibilities consist of:

  • Responsible for creating in-game environments compliant with the game design, both technically and aesthetically.
  • Creating 3D models using packages provided (Maya, Z-Brush and Photoshop).
  • Creating and applying 2D textures – create and apply texture maps to the specification set by the Lead Artist.
